Hints & Easter Eggs

Game Guide:

I highly recommend playing without knowing what is going on. This is psychological/cosmic horror, after all. This guide avoids easter egg, which are detailed below instead.

Scene 1: Walk all the left on the beach. Board the raft along the coast.

Scene 2: Row all the way up.

Scene 3: Walk off the edge of the raft to dive. Use the A/D keys (or left/right arrow keys) to rotate yourself and W (or up arrow key) to move. Swim all the way to the bottom and wait 30 seconds.

Scene 4: Walk all the way to the left. Click the Join button.

Easter eggs

Discount Kraken - Just in case I hid it too well, in scene 2 when Mari says "The secrets I so desperately desire... Are nearly mine." a creature will swim by under the water.

Unclothed - Wait for 60 seconds on the raft before diving in scene 3.

Strange plants - Some of the plants at the bottom of the sea resemble dolls, a scary face, anal beads, a stalk of an extinct bryozoan "Archimedes", eyes, and a phallus.

Go home ending - On the beach scene, walk right, then walk left for a bit, then return to the right.

Coward ending - Don't leave the raft when asked to dive in scene 3.

Go to bed - In scene 4, click "Go Home". The tentacles will return you to your room. Stick around after the credits if the window open bothers you.

Mari's Name - Mari is short for "Maritime" as a pun.
